Emmerdale has released a new clip showing the moment that Joseph Tate tries to lure the Dingles into a trap tonight (January 18).

Joseph (Ned Porteous) turns on the charm with Lisa Dingle when they clash following his decision to move in at Home Farm.

Understandably, Lisa (Jane Cox) isn't giving Joe too much of a warm welcome, since his biggest aim in life right now is destroying her family and tearing down her home. However, she's soon taken aback when the scheming villain hints at a compromise.

Recalling that Lisa was kind to him when he was growing up in the village years ago, Joe urges her to give him a chance to win her over.

This would mean attending a party at Home Farm later on, where the Dingles will supposedly be given a chance to discuss revising the golf course development with an architect and lawyer.

As anyone who reads Emmerdale spoilers will know, the Dingles take the bait and attend the gathering – making the mistake of leaving their home unguarded.

While their backs are turned, bulldozers arrive at the Dingle house to finally tear it down – leading to terrible danger as Noah and Samson are playing video games inside.

Steve Halliwell, who plays Zak, recently revealed: "The Dingles leave the house unattended as they are going to meet the lawyer, the architects and people who will give them a chance to revise things.

"The Dingles think they're going to talk, and they'll change their plans and move the road to the golf course somewhere else. That's what they're hoping for. They head up to Home Farm hopeful it will be a fresh chance to be heard.

"When they arrive, the lawyer and the architect don't turn up. Zak gets on the free booze and it's forgotten why they're there in the end.

"Zak is heartbroken over what happens to the cottage. They love their house and also they feel betrayed. There's also a lot of fear over the danger the kids have been put in."
