Yahoo News Emmerdale's Laurel faces new heartache next week
Emmerdale's Laurel Thomas is left heartbroken next week as she realises that Jimmy and Nicola King have resorted to hiding from her.
Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) has become increasingly reliant on the Kings over the past few weeks – accepting Jimmy's help with odd jobs and Nicola's emotional support over Ashley's death.
While it's clear that the stress of dealing with Laurel every five minutes is taking its toll, Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) is determined not to upset her – much to the frustration of an impatient Jimmy.
Next week, Laurel is at it again when Jimmy (Nick Miles) is tasked with fixing her tap, which is sure to make the tense situation even worse.
When Jimmy later returns home for some alone time with Nicola, it's not long before lonely Laurel has found a reason to come knocking at the door yet again.
Finally crumbling under the stress of Laurel's neediness, Jimmy and Nicola hide rather than answering the door.
When Laurel spots them, she's crushed that her friends have resorted to hiding from her and later tells them exactly what she saw, which is sure to leave them mortified.
Could a rift be developing in Laurel's friendship with the couple?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
