Yahoo News Emmerdale's Pierce wants Coronation Street crossover
The cast of Coronation Street should be shaking on the cobbles, because an evil Emmerdale star might be heading their way in the not-too-distant future.
Jonathan Wrather, who plays the evil Pierce Harris in Emmerdale, has suggested his character won't be able to show his face on the Dales after raping his wife Rhona, so will need somewhere else to go...
In tonight's (July 28) episode, Pierce's trial for the horrific wedding day rape of Rhona will come to an end as the jury reach their verdict.
And after Vanessa's testimony earlier in the trial left Rhona's case in jeopardy, things are now looking considerably worse for Pierce after he completely tripped up on his story.
Talking to The Mirror about what's next for Pierce, Wrather (with tongue in cheek, we think) said: "It would be great if a character could exist in one soap and then another.
"Pierce can't show his face again in the Emmerdale village so he might go somewhere else!"
Wait, is this the start of a soap crossover universe? If so, that would be awesome – but obviously not for the characters of Corrie if Pierce was to show up in Weatherfield.
