Liam’s Vicar of Dibley-style Christmas
Watch: Coming up on Emmerdale this Christmas...
Do you remember the episode of The Vicar of Dibley where Geraldine was forced to endure several Christmas dinners? Well, that same scenario is about to play out for Dr Liam.
His first call is to the Dingles’, where he tries to turn down a plate of food, knowing that he has two further trips to make. No such luck! Next, it’s round to Rishi’s, where more festive fare awaits him. And as he hauls himself down the street after round two, Bernice takes him in and serves up yet another meal.
Following this endurance test, Liam will then be seen sharing a charged moment with Bernice, which ends in a kiss. But might he have bitten off more than he can chew?
Bernice’s menopause campaign
We’ll also see Bernice growing tired of Nicola’s interfering, while also starting to feel as though everyone is treating her menopause as some kind of joke.
After wallowing in self-pity for some time, while also struggling with her symptoms, Bernice ultimately decides to seek help. And feeling that the conversation around menopause needs a makeover, Bernice decides to embark on a new project…
Paddy’s Christmas trauma
Paddy’s stress levels are skyrocketing over the festive season with shock scenes set to see him accidentally give Vinny’s dog an overdose of sedatives.
Reeling from what he’s done and clearly struggling with all that’s going on his personal life, the village vet will then be seen sitting hopelessly in his car as the tears begin to fall down his face. Will anyone help him in his moment of need?
Greg threatens Ethan
It’s initially all cheers round at the Andersons’, as Ethan takes the PA system from the church out into the street, along with a set of disco lights. It’s time for an impromptu street party!
But that sense of fun comes to a crashing halt for Ethan when Greg threatens to ruin his reputation should the complaint not be dropped. And, pretty soon, we’ll see a further confrontation between the two guys as Ethan confronts Greg after he review-bombs Marcus’s business.
David’s heartbreak
Jacob tells a fib to his friends when he makes out that Dr Liam is his dad. But the lie ends up backfiring when David overhears one of those mates refer to Leyla and Liam as being Jacob’s mother and father.
In the wake of the slip-up, Jacob is left feeling mortified while David can’t help but be heartbroken.
