Emmerdale Christmas 2023 spoilers: Mack's life hangs in the balance, Torvill and Dean cameo
There are season's beatings ahead for Lawrence Robb's Mack
It may well be an Emmerdale Christmas to remember for all the wrong reasons for Mack – that’s if he manages to survive his kidnap ordeal.
Plus, two special guests arrive in the village in the shape of Torvill and Dean. And, in true soap tradition, Tracy and Caleb are caught in the act over the festive season.
It’s your guide to all the Emmerdale spoilers covering the week of Christmas Day to Friday 29 December 2023.
Is Mack dead?
Emmerdale is teasing the fate of Mack, for whom it’s a case of season’s beatings rather than greetings. In the run-up to Christmas, viewers will see him get abducted and sitting unresponsive and tied to a chair in an empty factory.

But by Christmas, there’ll be no sign of Mack in that dark and gloomy factory, just the chair to which he was bound. The big question: has he been killed or made his escape?
Belle’s festive proposal – with added Torvill and Dean
Belle is given much to think about after Chas tries to convince her to give the proposal another try. But Belle’s efforts get scuppered once again when Sam drags her away for a birthday surprise.
However, with Leyla’s help, Belle concocts a new scheme. And, the following day, Leyla will be seen leading a blindfolded Tom onto an ice rink, where he’s left mesmerised after realising that Belle has arranged a proposal with the help of Torvill and Dean.
There’s delight all round when Tom says, “yes”. And as the skating legends glide over, Tom gets his fanboy moment, while ITV receives some extra promotion for the next series of Dancing on Ice. Job done!
Tracy and Caleb – exposed!
The celebrations at Butlers are under way, but the priority for Caleb and Tracy is to find some time alone together – and soon enough, the clandestine lovers are sharing a charged moment.
Later on, when everyone is starting to drift away, Tracy decides to stay behind to look after the children, while Caleb offers to be with her. But the two of them obviously have ulterior motives, only on this occasion, one villager is about to catch them in the act. Ho-ho-uh-oh!
Marlon is far from happy
Any hopes of Marlon having the perfect Christmas seem to have been dashed when he loses his temper with Gus before storming off. But it takes an intervention from Paddy to help Marlon realise that Gus is grieving and needs help.
Later, Marlon attempts to salvage things, the result being that Gus is left taken back when the Woolpack chef whips up an amazing meal. An emotional toast is then made to loved ones and finally the festive season is back on track.
And elsewhere…
Meanwhile, we’ll see Amit left feeling uneasy when Suni urges him to reveal the uncomfortable truth about what happened on the day of Rishi’s death.
Elsewhere, Nicola manages to convince an impressed Jimmy and an annoyed Bob to help her prep the B&B for a councillor party that she hopes will help with her ambition to run for mayor. And, finally, Heath and Cathy are getting busy formulating a plan to get to a bash in nearby Hotten.
Emmerdale airs on ITV nightly on weekdays, and streams on ITVX.
