Emmerdale fans 'give up' after ITV soap bosses issue update

Some Emmerdale fans say they've "given up" after soap bosses shared an update on Thursday evening.

The latest episode showed Tom King react to the news wife Belle had had an abortion, having told him she had miscarried. He became very angry, as a crying Belle said she "didn't want to hurt [him]".

Tom had also realised Belle had packed a bag and was going to visit her niece, Debbie Dingle, so she could have a break from him.

Emmerdale bosses shared a clip of the scene after it went out on ITV. The Instagram post said: "'You got rid of our baby, and then you were going to leave me.'

"For advice and support please visit: www.itv.com/advice. #Emmerdale".

Fans have been quick to react in the post's comments section, as Dosh said: "So angry and tired of it at this point. But great acting", while Ardina said: "Had to give up on this show".

Mary said: "I can't watch Emmerdale until he is caught, seriously".

However, Mags said: "The acting from both is amazing. Well done Emmerdale for bringing this to peoples attention" and Abbey said: "Very uncomfortable viewing but it needs to play out to the end". Melanie said: "People are feeling drained [watching] but imagine how real people going through it feel".
