Emmerdale fans praise moving Rhona/Lisa scenes
Emmerdale fans have praised Jane Cox (Lisa Dingle) and Zoe Henry (Rhona Goskirk) for their performances in tonight's (June 27) hour-long episode.
The episode featured Rhona feeling awkward following the public revelation of her rape at the hands of sadistic husband Pierce Harris on their wedding day.
Rhona was shown struggling to mix with her friends in the aftermath of everyone finding out about her ordeal – but fortunately she later found comfort in an appropriate place.
One familiar face who does know a bit about what Rhona is going through is Lisa Dingle, having been raped by her factory colleague Derek in 2011.
Lisa's status as a rape survivor has not been mentioned much recently on the soap, so viewers were pleased to see it acknowledged in the emotional conversation between the two women, taking to Twitter to praise the moving scenes:
I'm so glad Lisa is involved in Rhona's story #Emmerdale
