Next week on 'Emmerdale': Funeral plans announced, plus Charity begs forgiveness (spoilers)
The dust has barely settled on Stunt Week and already there’s talk of a funeral service. Plus Charity wants forgiveness, Faith is making her presence felt and Bob wants a night of passion with Wendy.
But is she desperate for Dan? Find out in your latest batch of Emmerdale spoilers for the 5-9 April, 2021:
Funeral bombshell baffles Charles
This is what’s known in the trade as an “aftermath” week because it’ll chart the fallout from the soap's much-hyped stunt. But because you’ll be reading this before any lives have been lost on screen, I can’t reveal who it is that’s flatlined.

All I can say is that the police are now in the village asking questions, so be braced for upset as the truth starts to come out. And vicar Charles is left confused by some upcoming funeral arrangements that deviate from the norm.
Another chance for Charity
Despite the nagging feeling that Charity ought to have been on a final warning a decade ago, it seems that son Noah is willing to give his mum another chance. But the divisive Ms Dingle is set to find it harder to make peace with Sarah.
Noah will be seen trying to set up what he hopes will look like a chance meeting, but his plan backfires. Enter Ryan, who tells Charity that she needs to show Sarah she can be dependable.

But, honestly, could Charity ever be considered trustworthy? You could ask her to buy a pint of milk and she’d end up robbing the supermarket at gunpoint. The word ‘principled’ just isn’t in her vocabulary.
Bob’s green-eyed monster
The unthinkable has happened to the much-married Bob: he hasn’t yet consummated his relationship with Wendy. Confidante Dan’s advice is to make a move, hence Bob breaking out the oysters, dark chocolate and romantic mood lighting.
But the overtures have the opposite reaction to the one Bob was hoping for, with Wendy making her excuses before leaving.
However, the next day, Bob spies Dan fixing Wendy’s car for free and starts to wonder whether something is going on. And those worries are only set to mount when Bob later drops in to see Wendy and finds her playing a cosy game of cards with – yes, you’ve guessed it – Dan! His jealousy piqued, Bob demands to know where he and Wendy stand. But will his outburst perhaps lead to the situation being sorted out once and for all?
Does Tracy have Faith in her future?
Wily operator Faith has got her feet well under the table at Tracy’s, to the extent where the new mum has been left wondering whether she’s lost control of her own home. Never mind the house, Tracy – at the rate your lodger gets through cash, it’s the finances you ought to be keeping an eye on.
Someone else who has a grievance with Faith is Brenda and there are no prizes for guessing who’s caught in the middle. Yes, that’ll be Pollard, who’s desperately trying to stop a slanging match. Yeah, good luck with that Eric – I doubt even a squad of UN peacekeepers could prise these two apart.
