Despite the nagging feeling that Charity ought to have been on a final warning a decade ago, it seems that son Noah is willing to give his mum another chance. But the divisive Ms Dingle is set to find it harder to make peace with Sarah.

Noah will be seen trying to set up what he hopes will look like a chance meeting, but his plan backfires. Enter Ryan, who tells Charity that she needs to show Sarah she can be dependable.

But, honestly, could Charity ever be considered trustworthy? You could ask her to buy a pint of milk and she’d end up robbing the supermarket at gunpoint. The word ‘principled’ just isn’t in her vocabulary.

The unthinkable has happened to the much-married Bob: he hasn’t yet consummated his relationship with Wendy. Confidante Dan’s advice is to make a move, hence Bob breaking out the oysters, dark chocolate and romantic mood lighting.

Faith Dingle [SALLY DEXTER] (ITV)

Someone else who has a grievance with Faith is Brenda and there are no prizes for guessing who’s caught in the middle. Yes, that’ll be Pollard, who’s desperately trying to stop a slanging match. Yeah, good luck with that Eric – I doubt even a squad of UN peacekeepers could prise these two apart.
