Emmerdale Mandy Dingle star Lisa Riley 'still learning' as she celebrates milestone

Emmerdale Mandy Dingle star Lisa Riley has given fans a rare insight into her relationship with fiancé Al. Lisa normally keeps her love life away from the spotlight but she recently took to social media to reveal that she celebrated her 10 year anniversary with Al.

The couple got engaged in May 2018 and at the time she shared a picture of herself wearing a ring on her finger. The pair are in no rush to tie the knot as Lisa revealed that she has no plans to marry Al anytime soon as they have both experienced heartbreaking losses.

Now the star took to Instagram and shred a picture collage with Al to mark their special milestone Alongside the snap, she wrote: "Happy Anniversary Babes. Today we celebrate our 10 year anniversary. I love you. I quite like you. You make me laugh. You embrace my bonkers.

"We are still learning from each other. But MOSTLY, you are still able to make me SMILE. Here's to many many many more years of "YOU & ME." The soap star went on to add a variety of different hashtags, including #anniversary, #celebration and #emmerdale."

The post comes as Lisa was flooded with sweet support from fans as she’s just a few months away from celebrating nine years sober.

She has previously opened up on her drinking habits. Lisa stopped drinking alcohol as she admitted she was using drink as a "comfort blanket" to cope with the grief of losing her mum to cancer at the age of 57.

She recently revealed that it has been nearly nine years since she last had an alcoholic drink. She took to Instagram and shared the milestone with her followers.

Lisa shared a quote, which read: “Going sober doesn’t make you boring. Being hangover all day does.” Alongside the post she wrote: “LOVE…..LOVE…..LOVE THIS. Thank you @soberdave it makes so much sense!!!! Can you believe in August I will be 9 years sober #sober #soberlife #free @sobergirlsociety #sobergirl.”
