Emmerdale reveals Liv's fate in tense scenes tonight

Emmerdale reveals Liv Flaherty's fate tonight (April 16) as fans continue to fear that she'll be sent to Youth Offenders thanks to Joe Tate.

Liv (Isobel Steele) faces court alongside her best friend Gabby Thomas in Monday night's episode, but it's not looking good for her when her solicitor is replaced at the last minute.

As the day of the case arrives, Liv's brother Aaron Dingle breaks the worrying news that her legal representative Louise has been assigned to another case.

Although the law firm has already arranged a replacement, it's obvious from the beginning that he's a pretty poor substitute for Louise.

Not only does the new guy refuse to allow Lisa Dingle to speak up on Liv's behalf in court, he also puts in a dismal performance by nervously sifting through his notes.

Clearly not up to speed with the details of the case, the solicitor gets Liv's name wrong and even goes against her wishes by mentioning her evil father Gordon Livesy.

As the proceedings come to an end, Gabby gives a genuine and sincere apology for her role in Lisa's drink being spiked with ketamine, but an upset Liv can't bring herself to speak up after the farcical behaviour of her solicitor.

Will this affect the outcome of the case for the girls? And is Joe to blame, after Friday's episode saw him trying to intercept Louise?

Emmerdale airs tonight at 7pm on ITV.
