Despite his fellow villagers trying to calm him down, Bob then lobs a football belonging to Archie at Liam. But as aggravations intensify, Bob has a heart attack and is eventually taken away in an ambulance. In the aftermath, Wendy and Liam are both left feeling terrible.
The following day, Wendy is left giving a sigh of relief when Bob starts to stir in his hospital bed, but he soon gets emotional when he remembers why he’s there.
And when Liam visits Bob’s bedside and tentatively apologises for the affair, will he be able to forgive? And is Bob himself being honest about everything?
Mary and Marlon take major steps
Marlon is on edge as he prepares to collect his specially adapted car but, after a talking-to from Rhona and Mary, he agrees to get back behind the wheel for the first time since his stroke.
Mary, meanwhile, is being encouraged by Rhona to get back on the dating scene. But first she must put on a brave face as she readies herself for Faye’s trial.
Following that particular ordeal, though, Mary nonchalantly claims to Marlon and Rhona that she is going out on a date, but acts cagey when the pair start asking questions...
Lydia gets a blast from the past
After Sam finds a doll’s house in a skip, he decides to bring it home to renovate in time for Esther’s birthday. But his Repair Shop-style endeavour reminds Lydia of the doll’s house she had in the children’s home and she ends up talking about her memories and her son Toby.
However, financial worries are also clouding her thoughts – tensions that escalate when Kim rejects Lydia’s proposal to work more hours. So her only option is to then seek a second job, despite Sam being unhappy with the situation.
Lydia then heads to a recruitment fair at the Hide, where the sight of Kim leaves her feeling awkward. But Lydia is soon getting a further (and decidedly more sizeable) shock when she bumps into a mystery man by the name of Craig who’s connected to her past in the children’s home. They’ve not seen each other since that time and Craig is delighted to have found Lydia again. But does she feel the same way?
