David’s exit
It’s David’s birthday – but the focus is on Jacob, as those close to him speculate as to who his mystery girlfriend is. And when David arrives home early, just as Jacob and Victoria are taking advantage of an empty house, a big lie is told. Upcoming scenes will see Jacob blurt out that Gabby is his mystery partner, as upstairs Victoria listens in and cringes.

When David leaves, Jacob reassures Vic that Gabby will go along with the fib. But when David heads to the pub and teases an oblivious Gabby, she’s left baffled. And later, as Jacob once again pulls Victoria in for a kiss, the scales will fall for a dumbstruck David, who spies their actions through a window.
Rocked and feeling betrayed by what he’s witnessed, David decides that his future no longer lies in the village and, after saying some final goodbyes to his family, he drives away.
Mack’s desperate search for Chloe continues
Mack will be seen returning home after another night of searching for Chloe and Reuben, while Amy is fearful that she’ll never hear from her sibling again. And when Mack then confronts both Amy and Matty with a plea for any news, they’re distressed to see him at this low ebb.
Charity, though, has some advice for Mack: he should try and stay on Amy’s good side as they all want the same thing. But will Mack be convinced by her assurance that they’ll get his son back?
Amit sees no future in the village
Having failed to connect with Laurel and the family, Amit has decided that it’s time he returned to India – but his plans leave Suni shocked.
Suni then sets out to salvage things, first by trying to change Laurel’s mind regarding her attitude towards Amit, and then by attempting to get his Dad to reconsider his options. For her part, Laurel does then try to get an explanation from Nicky as to why Amit punched him – unaware that Amit is eavesdropping, fearful that his Rishi-related secret could come out.
Following this, Suni organises a night out at a bar for him, Nicky, Gabby and Ethan for the next day. But his mistrust of Nicky when it comes to him keeping Amit’s secret results in Suni dumping him. However, Suni is instantly regretful and ends up trying to distance himself from his father – so can Amit reconcile with his family before he goes? Will Nicky and Nicky make things up? And could something else go wrong on this night out at the bar?
Tracy can’t resist Caleb
The chemistry continues to fizz for Tracy and Caleb, who are sharing passionate kisses. But despite the obvious attraction, Tracy eventually resolves to put all thoughts of Caleb behind her and instead convinces Nate to take the afternoon off and spend it with her.
The trouble is, this is also the week of Cain’s birthday and, as the family gathers, Tracy grows flustered at the prospect of Caleb sitting so close to her and finds an excuse to head to the toilet. Caleb follows and there’s a further inevitable kiss, but they’re almost caught by Cain. Later, when Caleb leaves, Tracy follows on – but she’s certainly playing a risky game.
Emmerdale airs on ITV nightly on weekdays, and streams on ITVX.
