Emmerdale spoilers: Mary gets blackmailed, Caleb offers to help Tracy

Faye returns to Emmerdale next week and has blackmail in mind for Mary, plus Caleb offers to go into business with Tracy – a move that infuriates Nate.

Elsewhere, Jai reluctantly invites Rishi to his wedding, while Arthur is left upset when Marshall ends things between them and leaves.

Mary is blackmailed – by returnee Faye

Faye is to make an unexpected return and will be seen viciously threatening Mary with blackmail. Her demand? That Mary withdraw her statement or Faye will send a non-consensual nude photo of her to all her contacts.

Faye is smugly certain that Mary will comply, while Rhona is appalled that her mum is even considering this course of action. But Mary is just desperate to stop the photo coming out, and is left feeling further betrayed when Marlon lets slip that he knows about what’s going on, as Rhona has confided in him.

Later, April tells Mary that she’s inspired by her grandma’s truth-telling, all of which leaves Mary feeling guilty about her plan to lie to the police. But will she ultimately decide to exonerate Faye?

Tracy to go into business with Caleb?

Tracy is feeling gutted thanks to the bank having rejected her loan request – and this knockback also leaves her struggling to find any enthusiasm for her job at the B&B, despite Bob’s attempt at a motivational pep talk.

The next day, though, Caleb is left intrigued when he listens in on a conversation between Belle and Nate in which the pair discuss Tracy’s struggles to find an investor for her nursery. Later on, Caleb admits to Tracy that he’s tempted to put up the cash himself, but when Nate gets wind of what’s going on, he’s frustrated as he knows these plans will just infuriate Cain.

Tracy’s response is to lambast Nate for caring more for Cain’s feelings than the welfare of his family.

Layoffs at the farm

Nate will also be seen being affected by this week’s drama at Butlers Farm, which is still struggling financially. Cue Cain telling Moira that a tough choice needs to be made: either Mack or Nate must be made redundant.

Moira then announces to Nate and Mack that they’ll be put in a competitive interview process for the remaining job at the farm. And this financial jeopardy results in Tracy immediately making a call to Caleb to take him up on his offer of investment, as she feels that Nate no longer has a leg to stand on.

Marshall leaves – and Arthur is heartbroken

Arthur is set to be left miserable when Marshall ends things between them. Thanking Laurel for all she’s done for him, Marshall then gives Arthur an emotional last hug before leaving with his auntie.

Laurel can’t help but be upset by the sight of her son sobbing in her arms – his first love having left his life. And Arthur is subsequently left feeling even worse when a moody Gabby lets rip about her own life.

Will Jai and Rishi reconcile in time for the wedding?

After reassuring Rishi that he’s been a terrific dad to Jai, Manpreet urges him to give his son the full story about his biological father. And after this pep talk, Rishi does agree to reconcile with Jai, only to be left disappointed when his son blanks him.

The following day, Laurel does manage to convince Jai to invite Rishi to the wedding, all of which leads to Suni rallying attendees for the stag do, in the hope that there’ll be a family reconciliation. But might these efforts backfire?
