Emmerdale star Amy Walsh has predicted an "explosive" reaction from Tracy Metcalfe if she ever discovers the true culprits behind the factory fire.

Tracy has faced a devastating few weeks, as she lost her dad Frank Clayton in the blaze and has since faced the heartbreak of him being blamed for what happened.

Viewers know that Kerry and Amy Wyatt accidentally started the fire while stealing charity money from the safe at Sharma & Sharma, but they've allowed Frank's memory to be tainted in order to protect themselves.

Speaking about the inevitable moment that Tracy discovers the real story, Amy explained: "That would be a big one! Tracy and Kerry have become a lot closer, because they live together in Tug Ghyll now. Amy is always around too.

"Kerry and Amy have also been helping in the aftermath. Tracy has confided in Kerry, and they've both seen her very broken and upset. Kerry even came to the morgue with Tracy.

"Tracy is so loyal, so whatever anyone does, she can usually fight it off or get over it. But whenever someone is disloyal to her or deceitful with the aftermath, that will probably hurt her more than the actual act itself.

"Kerry and Amy didn't actually start a fire to kill anyone, so if Tracy had known that from the start, and not been through all the pain and anguish of working it all out, you never know how she might have dealt with it.

"But for weeks, they've basically been lying and being deceitful, so I think that's going to be the most painful thing to Tracy. Her reaction would be very, very explosive, I would imagine!"

Next week's episodes see Tracy continue her fight to clear Frank's name as the day of his funeral arrives. Upcoming scenes see her hand over the engagement ring to Megan Macey, explaining that Frank must have been trying to retrieve it before he died.

Amy added: "Megan is really heartbroken when she realises what Frank was doing. At first she's a bit suspicious, but as soon as she sees the ring and Tracy explains what happened from her perspective, Megan quite quickly comes round.

"Afterwards, Megan believes that Frank was the man she loved. She believes that what happened was all due to a declaration of love for her.

"Megan becomes more on Tracy's side. That's great for Tracy, as Megan had been doubting whether she'd even be turning up to the funeral.

"There's a moment where Megan and Tracy arrive at the service later on and see the few people who have turned up. There's still some discussion between the Sharmas on technicalities over the ring.

"They're there to pay their respects, but there's still this edge there. They think it still doesn't prove anything that they've found the ring.

"Tracy can't believe that they're standing outside the funeral saying that. But when she does a speech inside, she tries to forget all that stuff. She talks about how Frank was a good man and a good dad, but she lets it go at that.

"I think everyone is relieved at that. Vanessa is certainly relieved that Tracy doesn't go on with this barrage of trying to prove his innocence.

"But then Megan decides to speak out and that's when it all goes a bit sour, because she just can't hold back and rightfully so. She's quite hurt by people's reaction, now that she believes Frank's innocence."

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
