Yahoo News Emmerdale star was surprised by dark Moira drugs twist
Emmerdale star Natalie J Robb has admitted she was surprised by her character Moira Dingle's sad drugs story.
Moira will reach an all-time low later this month when she makes contact with her daughter Holly's drug dealer Simon in a desperate bid to get some pills and have some sleep.
Emmerdale fans know that Moira has been struggling since the unexpected arrival of her baby son Isaac in October and looks set to follow in the footsteps of her tragic daughter Holly when she contemplates drastic measures in order to cope.
Speaking about the dark story twist, Natalie said: "I was a bit surprised actually. My natural thought would be, 'I want to kill them.'
"She's tempted. She hates every bit of being there and realises she has probably done something really stupid.
"She's not thinking straight and is doing lots of silly things. She goes to meet him [Simon] to try and get some sleeping tablets and it's the first time she's seen him since Holly died.
"Cain tries to stop her as he turns up at the time where you don't know if she will actually take them or not."
Discussing the reason for Moira's downward spiral, Natalie explained: "She's not coping very well at the moment. Everything is a bit of a shock for her.
"She's not really bonding with her son and all the trauma and turmoil around is not really helping either. She's not coping at all."
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Wednesday, December 13 at 7pm on ITV.
