Emmerdale's Robert Sugden has triumphed again by getting his hands on 30% of Home Farm.

The schemer's masterplan to seize control finally began to pay off in Friday night's episode (September 22), as he was revealed as the real source behind an offer to invest in the estate.

The latest visit to the Dales saw Rebecca and Lawrence White receive a visit from potential investor Kath, who was representing a company called Rug Tree Bonds.

After a gentle nudge in the right direction from Robert, Lawrence agreed to hear Kath out despite his previous concerns. In the end, he struck a deal for Rug Tree Bonds to buy a 30% share of Home Farm and become a silent partner.

Sadly, it seems that observation isn't the Whites' strongest suit, as Rug Tree Bonds is a blatant anagram of Robert Sugden.

Robert had sneakily recruited Kath to act on his behalf and couldn't be happier now that he's well on his way to exerting his influence at the estate.

We already know that next week's episodes see Robert recruit Lachlan's friend Gerry as the next minion for his scheming, but how long will he keep the Whites in the dark about his ruthless move? And surely he's not going to stop at just taking 30%?
