Yahoo News Emmerdale's Amy Walsh and her boyfriend are engaged!
Congratulations to Emmerdale's Amy Walsh and her boyfriend Bradley Jaden, who are sharing a huge announcement.
Until now, the couple have kept private the news that Bradley popped the question with a ring he'd bought seven months prior while they were on holiday in the Thai rainforest Phuket last August.
"I genuinely didn't know what was happening until he got down on one knee," Amy reveals in the latest issue of OK Magazine.
"I just thought, no, this can't be that! Then I burst into tears… We were both crying and then he said some lovely things, but I can't remember what they were!"
The pair are definitely hoping to start a family in the near future too, but it'll probably have to wait until musical theatre star Bradley finishes up the international tour of Wicked.
"I've always wanted a big family," he said, with Amy agreeing: "I have as well, but I'm aware we're starting a bit late, so we'll see how we go with the first one!"
The couple revealed last summer that they actually talked about getting married on their very first date.
"We know it's the next step but our careers have changed so much in the last year we're just concentrating on that," Amy said at the time.
"We've bought a house together so after we'd done that I thought, of course we're going to get married, but it's not a massive deal for me at the moment."
What a difference six months make!
