Emmerdale's Amy Walsh says 'when in Rome' as she's seen with actress sister as pair ditch UK to support famous sibling

Emmerdale star Amy Walsh has got her trip off to a good start as she ditched the UK with her actress sister as they rpepare to support their Girls Aloud star sibling Kimberley Walsh.

Fans of the girl group will know that Kimberley and her bandmates Cheryl, Nicola Roberts and Nadine Coyle are hitting the road in the first tour for a decade. The Girls Aloud Show will visit venues across the UK and Ireland with it all kicking off on Friday night (May 17) in Dublin.

Girls Aloud announced back in November that they would be reuniting for a UK and Ireland tour in memory of their late bandmate Sarah Harding.The band announced the tour with a video which saw the girls reunite at a drive-in cinema where clips of the band performing their hit tracks including Sound Of The Underground, Love Machine, Call The Shots and Biology were played.

Following the end of rehearsals, on Thursday night (May 16), Cheryl revealed the girls were on their way to Dublin as they posed for a group selfie on the plane. "Ready for take off," she captioned the post to her 3.4 million followers. Kimberley also shared the same snap and said: "Dublin were back baby. Oh how we’ve missed you #thegirlsaloudshow."

And also headed over the Dublin was Kimberley's sisters Amy and Sally. Taking to her Instagram Story, Emmerdale star Amy reshared a post from Girls Aloud confirming the end of rehearsals and said: "I'm coming for you @girlsaloud," before a follow-up post saw her at the airport as she said: "Off we pop then! #dublinbound."

Amy, who is known for playing Tracy Robinson in ITV's Emmerdale, then shared a photo of herself and Sally, who is also an actress and recently popped up in Doctors, sporting matching striped tees for their journey before they headed to The Ivy. Ordering a pint of Guinness, Amy quipped: "When in Rome!"

Shortly before heading off to Dublin, Kimberley, 42, revealed that their rehearsals had been 'emotional' as it is believed the set with contain a tribute to Sarah, who died from breast cancer in 2021.

Sharing snaps from the preparations, the singer and TV star penned on Instagram: "Well that's it. Production rehearsals are done Dublin here we come! We've had the BEST time creating this show for you and being back with my girls has been incredibly emotional but soooooo special.

"Love you all. Our team of boys dancing with us are honestly incredibly and I can't wait for you to see them in action!" She added to their creative director Beth Honan: "You are a legend and a genuine super hero what a privilege to be here 20 years later doing what we love. Thanks our whole team that have helped put this show together and supported us I appreciate each and every one of you! Let's do this!"
