Emmerdale's Jacob punches David after Maya verdict
Tonight's double bill of Emmerdale (June 20) finally confirmed Maya Stepney's fate as she was jailed for grooming Jacob Gallagher.
The schemer's comeuppance arrived as a judge handed down a 12-month jail sentence as punishment for her crime – and suffice to say, young Jacob was far from pleased by the verdict.
Struggling to cope with Maya being found guilty, a heartbroken and frustrated Jacob lashed out at his stepdad David and punched him, leaving viewers stunned.

Jacob had previously planned to run away with Maya after the sentencing, having lied to his family by telling them he was moving back in with David.
Maya (Louisa Clein) had already pleaded guilty to sending inappropriate texts to Jacob when he was 15, hoping this would mean she'd receive a more lenient sentence.
And after receiving just a 12-month sentence, it seems her plan worked. Of course, the verdict received a mixed response from Jacob's family, who were relieved to see her go down but frustrated that it wasn't for longer.
Emmerdale continues on ITV at 8pm tonight (June 20) as the repercussions from the court's decision are revealed.
