England fans gather in Moscow to soak up the World Cup semi-final atmosphere

Thousands of England fans have hit the streets of Moscow ahead of tonight’s crunch semi-final clash with Croatia.

Around 10,000 Three Lions supporters are expected to be in the Russian capital to soak up the atmosphere before the match at the Luzhniki Stadium.

It will be the first time an England side has contested a last-four knockout game at a World Cup since Bobby Robson’s boys were left heartbroken at Italia 90.

Victory over Croatia would send them into the final as hopes of a repeat of the historic 1966 triumph rise.

The fans are determined to enjoy every moment of the occasion on Wednesday and some have been spotted wearing waistcoats in tribute to manager Gareth Southgate.

Red Square is awash with England shirts and flags in the build-up to the country’s biggest game in 28 years.

Some supporters have even been pictured wearing, with the likes of Del Boy and Rodney, David Beckham and James Bond characters all posing for pictures.
