Manchester United's squad is full of players with an uncertainty surrounding their future at the club, no more than Jadon Sancho. The winger has returned from his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund with no public knowledge that he will be integrated back into Erik ten Hag's squad.

The dispute between the 24-year-old and Ten Hag is expected to be resolved before the new season. In early September, the United boss left Sancho out of the squad for the 3-1 loss to Arsenal, claiming he had not trained to the required standard.

Sancho responded with a tweet by denying the claim and then refused to apologise. He hasn't featured for the club since and his long-term future at Old Trafford remains unresolved.

Juventus have been credited with interest for Sancho but the reported £40m asking price has seemed to put their pursuit on hold. Now, SPORT report that United have offered the forward to Spanish giants Barcelona.

The report claims that Barca are unwilling to meet United's price tag and only another loan will be considered. However, as has been the case in deals in the past, there is the possibility that United accept a much lower fee as part of a player-plus-cash deal.

Here, MEN Sport takes a look at three players that the Red Devils could look to sign from Camp Nou as part of Sancho's exit.

Frenkie de Jong

Midfielder Frenkie de Jong has been on United's radar for some time, yet somehow, a move has never materialised. Ten Hag's arrival at the club has only accelerated their interest as they continue to be on the hunt for a new defensive midfielder.

Due to his high wages and market value, the Netherlands international has been one of the players consistently linked with a move away from Spain. With uncertainty over Casemiro's future, De Jong could be included in a possible swap deal to hand Kobbie Mainoo the perfect partner.

Vitor Roque

Further up the field, United's problems in attack continue. It's understood that the club wants another striker to provide competition to Rasmus Hojlund and a list of centre-forwards have been linked with a move.

Vitor Roque is one of those players and despite only recently joining Barcelona, has been linked with a move away from the club. Earlier in the transfer window, United were credited with interest in the 19-year-old and using him as part of Sancho's exit could work to United's advantage with his huge potential.

Ronald Araujo

Much has been made of United's desire to strengthen the options in the backline. Everton's tough stance on Jarrad Branthwaite could see them look elsewhere and Araujo would certainly do the job.

Still just 25, the Uruguay international would bring dominance and power to Ten Hag's backline with him also more than capable of playing with the ball. He's a key member of the Barcelona team but his contract expires in two years time meaning they may cash-in now.
