The Essex dog show where you can meet over 200 animals

Remus Memorial Horse Sanctuary in Ingatestone is hosting an open day and Fun Dog Show where visitors can meet over 200 animals and watch some of Essex’s best pooches perform, making it a brilliant afternoon for the animal obsessed!

The animals ready to say hello consist of horses, ponies, donkeys, sheep, goats and cats. Plus, the event has many stalls where visitors can buy gifts, books, bric-a-brac and more.

There are plenty of activities for the kids, including close up magic. Entry is just £7 for adults and £5 for children, and if you want to take part in the dog show it costs an extra £2.

  8. Most Gorgeous Golden Oldie (Any dog over 7 years old)

  9. Best Paw Shaker or Trick

  10. Best Sausage Catcher

  11. Best Rescue Greyhound

  12. Best Fancy Dress

  13. Cutest Pup (any dog under 1 year old)

  14. Bad Hair Day

  15. Dog Most Like its Owner

  16. Loudest Bark/Noisiest Dog (Freestyle)


Dogs are welcome on a lead, which goes without saying, and disabled toilets and parking are close by. The event is set to be a fun packed afternoon for Essex’s animal lovers!
