Though there is still some way to go before anyone lifts the trophy the round of 16 of the Europa League brings silverware ever closer for those clubs that are still standing.

The added incentive of a place in next season's Champions League will likely spice up the latter stages of the competition, with Arsenal among those unlikely to qualify for Europe's premier club competition through domestic league position.

Should the Gunners make their way through the second leg as expected they could face a significantly more prestigious European power in the last 16, with Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid and AC Milan currently on course to qualify.

Arsenal could draw any of those sides in an open draw with no seeding or country protection, with the exception of the fact that teams from Russia and Ukraine cannot face each other.

When is the draw?

The draw takes place at midday UK time on Friday February 23.
