The weekend has rolled around once again so you know what that means – it’s time for a round-up of good news! Peruse some of the cheeriest stories from the last seven days while you enjoy that Friday feeling.
The Swifties are at it again
It turns out Taylor Swift is so popular that she managed to sell out a book she didn’t even write. Sort of.
Swift’s fans (or shall I say Swifties) managed to convince themselves that their favourite singer songwriter was releasing a memoir this year, and in doing so they made an unreleased book with an unconfirmed author hit the top of the charts.
It has since been announced that the memoir is actually written by BTS, so it seems as though Swifties will have to rely on the Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) album release in July to keep them fed for now.

Best in show!
The Wesminster Dog Show took place this weekend, but don’t be fooled – it’s not in London. It’s actually the US equivalent of Crufts and just take a look at the adorable little pups that took part.
While lots of furry friends took to the stage and won a whole range of award from best terrier to best toy, it was ultimately Buddy Holly that took the top prize of best in show.
Buddy’s owner and trainer Janice Hayes told Fox Sports: “I have dreamed of this since I was nine years old. [Buddy] is the epitome of a show dog, nothing bothers him.”

Eurovision begins
This week things kicked for Eurovision as the stage at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool lit up for this year’s song contest.
A standout moment for many was the moment Rita Ora was joined on stage by a young Ukrainian dancer forced to flee the Russian invasion.
The pop star delivered a medley of some of her hits, joined by 54 backing dancers including 30 from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Sofiia Kladko, 12, from Rivne in the north-west of Kyiv, was among them.
After her performance, Ora tweeted: “The plight of Sofiia’s family reminds me of the incredible journey my family went through when I was her age, and how I will be forever grateful to the UK for showing us kindness and compassion.”
Friday, but this time make it Freaky-er
Pull up your boot straps and snap those fortune cookies – a Freaky Friday sequel is officially on the way.
Hollywood stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are returning as the mother-daughter duo in a sequel to the 2003 comedy hit that involved a body swap and a lot of silly shenanigans.
Sources at the Hollywood Reporter have confirmed that Freaky Friday 2 is in the works, and writer Elyse Hollander is said to be working on the script.
