A new high-powered electric vehicle charging hub at Bothwell Services is now open.

Roadchef, a motorway service, has launched its newest High-Powered Super Hub, unveiling six ultra-fast 350KW chargers on the M74, just outside Glasgow.

The cutting-edge facility features the chargers that are all fitted with Combined Charging System (CCS) connectors to ensure compatibility with electric vehicles.

A further two chargers offer CCS and CHAdeMO connectors, a speedy-charging system for battery electric vehicles, catering to a wide selection of models.

Paul Comer, director of EV implementation at Roadchef, said: "The opening of our High-Powered Super Hub at Bothwell Services marks another significant step forward in our collaboration with GRIDSERVE to grow electric vehicle charging infrastructure throughout the UK.

"We’re committed to supporting a cleaner future for British transportation.

"The chargers provide much-needed accessibility for electric vehicle drivers near Glasgow as we work towards the nation's goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2050".

Like all GRIDSERVE Electric Super Hubs, these chargers facilitate contactless payment, give real-time updates to popular car charging apps, and operate on 100 percent net zero carbon energy.

Additionally, electric vehicle drivers at Bothwell Services are privy to multiple amenities provided by Roadchef, like free Wi-Fi and access to popular brands such as Costa and WHSmith.
