Everton Star Threatened By Armed Intruders

Everton footballer Tom Cleverley and his family have been threatened by armed intruders who broke into their Manchester home and stole thousands of pounds worth of goods.

The 26-year-old midfielder was at home with his wife Georgina Dorsett, 29, and their two-year-old daughter Navaeh Rose last Friday evening when burglars armed with baseball bats entered the property.

According to The Sun the men made off with a £15,000 Cartier bracelet, an Audemars Piguet watch worth £50,000 and a £10,000 Hermes handbag.

The robbers then reportedly demanded the keys to the couple’s two Range Rovers before driving off in one valued at around £50,000.

According to a source told the couple were left shaken by the ordeal.

"Tom and Georgina weren't physically hurt but it was a horrific ordeal, especially as their little girl was with them. The only thing in their minds was protecting her," the source told the newspaper.

"This was a very, very nasty incident and the couple have been shaken beyond belief.

"They tend to keep a low profile, but it’s obvious they have been targeted due to their wealth."

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester police said: "At around 8pm on Friday 2 October 2015, police were called to an address in Hale Barns following a report of a break-in.

"Officers attended and discovered a man, a woman and an infant who had been the victims of an aggravated burglary. None of the victims were injured. An investigation was subsequently launched and is on-going."
