When world-renowned brain surgeon Dr. Andrew Brown's wife dies, he leaves Manhattan and his prosperous medical practice, taking his two kids, Delia and Ephram, to live in the idyllic small town of Everwood, Colorado.

So goes the set-up of Everwood, the popular US soap that ran for four years in the early '00s.

We've tracked down the cast to find out what they've been up to since the show finished.

Treat Williams - Dr Andrew 'Andy' Brown

Williams had already had a fairly long career before he joined the cast of Everwood in 2002. He made his screen debut in 1975's Deadly Hero, and even had an uncredited cameo in Empire Strikes Back.

Following Everwood Williams stayed in TV, winning recurring roles in Brothers & Sisters (2006) and Heartland (2007), where he played David Morton and Dr. Nathaniel Grant respectively.

Williams also carried on making movies, appearing in What Happens In Vegas (2008), Howl (2010) and 127 Hours (2010).

More recently, Williams appeared in Drunk Parents (2017) and will next be seen in The Etruscan Smile (2017) and The Great Race (2018).

Gregory Smith - Ephram Brown

Smith played piano genius Ephram and followed the show by appearing in Richard Attenborough's World War II movie Closing The Ring (2007). He next turned up on TV in Eli Stone (2009) as Todd Riley in a one-off cameo.

In the same year, Smith appear in a recurring role in TV Mini-Series Guns, as Bobby.

We last saw Smith in Rookie Blue (2010-2015), playing Dov Epstein in a recurring role. He may not appear onscreen anymore, but Smith is still in the industry – he's moved into directing, shooting episodes of The Flash, Arrow and Legends Of Tomorrow.

Emily VanCamp - Amy Abbott

VanCamp is probably best known since Everwood for her lead roles in ABC dramas Brothers & Sisters (2007 – 10) and Revenge (2011 – 15), as well as her role as Sharon Carter / Agent 13 in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) and its sequel Captain America: Civil War (2016).

We don't know if VanCamp will appear in the next Avengers movie, Infinity War, but seeing as pretty much everyone in the Marvel universe looks to have a scene in that film, we wouldn't bet against it. She'll be seen next in medical drama TV series The Resident.

Debra Mooney - Edna Harper

Mooney was already a television legend when she came onto Everwood, and followed the show by appearing in some of the biggest TV series ever. Her credits includes roles in Boston Legal (2008), ER (2009), Bones (2011), Arrested Development (2013), Parks and Recreation (2014) and Scandal (2013 - 2017).

She can currently be seen on Grey's Anatomy, where she plays Evelyn Hunt.

John Beasley - Irv Harper

Following Everwood, Beasley appeared in a series of popular crime shows, including Boston Legal (2007), CSI: Miami (2010) and Detroit 1-8-7 (2011).

He's also popped up in a couple of recent Blumhouse movie productions, The Purge: Anarchy (2014) and Sinister 2 (2015).

More recently, Beasley's regularly appeared as Mr. Dabney, in Shots Fired (2017), another crime-driven TV Series.

Vivien Cardone - Delia Brown

Cardone was a child star when she played Delia Brown in Everwood. She appeared on the show for all four seasons. Cardone was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Supporting Young Actress in a TV series for her work on the show.

The actress has only had a handful of roles since appearing on Everwood. She made one movie All Roads Lead Home (2008) and had roles in three TV shows, including Law & Order: Criminal Intent (TV Series), a regular role as Michelle in One Life to Live (2011) and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2016).

Chris Pratt - Bright Abbott

Chris Pratt only ever appeared on Everwood, and completely faded into obscurity afterwards.

Only joking! You know all about Chris Pratt, mainly because he's one of the most famous people in the world.

But his big break into the mainstream took a long time, with appearances in a lot of stuff you've probably forgotten before his star-making turns in Parks & Recreation and Guardians Of The Galaxy.

Following Everwood, Chris was in The OC as left-wing activist Ché. He also appeared in movies you might not remember he was in, including Wanted (2008), Bride Wars (2009), Jennifer's Body (2009) and Moneyball (2011).

Tom Amandes - Dr Harold Abbott

Amandes played Dr. Harold 'Hal' Abbott on the show and, like so many other cast-members, went on to do loads of stuff after the show.

Amandes appeared on Private Practice (2008), Boston Legal (2008) and Grey's Anatomy (2009), going on to have bigger roles in shows such as Scandal (2013 - 2014), Parenthood (2014) and Arrow (2016).

He can next be seen in the indie movie The Bachelors (2017), which opens in the States this week.
