The former New York City meteorologist who was fired after nude videos from an adult website were leaked to his boss revealed that he’s doing a “hard reset” of his life and career — and he’s still forecasting the weather.

Former NY1 weatherman Erick Adame took a “much-needed” break from social media in November and has since moved in with some friends in Syracuse as he hopes to get back on his feet and track down a full-time job after his embarrassing public firing from the network in 2022.

“I’m taking a step back, I’m able to exhale, which is freaking awesome, I’m getting some sleep and I do have a new part-time job here,” Adame said, smiling and sipping a glass of red wine in a video posted on his Instagram page Saturday.

Adame said he left the Big Apple a little over a month ago.

While he worked several part-time jobs — including a gig as a mailman with the USPS and substitute teacher in the Bronx — before he decided the city was simply unaffordable for someone not working full time.

In Syracuse, where he said he lived for roughly 10 years and considers a “home,” he’s “applying for jobs and I’m just hoping that it’s going to happen soon.”

“It may not be on TV, it might be something else — we’re trying a little bit of everything — but a full-time job would be ideal,” he said, adding that he doesn’t know what the future will bring.

He’s calling the move “a hard reset — just starting new, new place, new everything, just focusing on me.” Adame said he’s started going back the gym and been taking care of himself mentally.

The respite has given Adame time to work on his year-old weather app — Weather with Erick — which he called a “passion project.”

He’s even built a small weather studio in his apartment.

The subscription service offers daily forecasts and “did you know” facts about the weather. Adame said he’s also working on a “weather consulting” element.

Adame said in an interview months later he believes a mystery voyeur became obsessed with distributing nude images of him in an apparent effort to embarrass him in a case of revenge porn.
