Weather experts are predicting another mini heatwave for Liverpool with temperatures predicted to reach 23C in the city and beyond on Friday.

According to Accuweather meteorologists, we can expect these maximum temperatures to last into Saturday, May 11, too, with plenty of sunny spells. Things will then turn cooler on Sunday, with highs of 21C and a couple of showers.

Looking ahead to the new week, we can expect the mercury to drop with expected temperatures between 9C and 17C, and some unsettled weather.

But the forecaster's long range predictions contain good news for fans of warm and sunny conditions. On Friday, June 14, it is forecast to be 20C, with a real feel of 23C, and sunny.

On Saturday and Sunday June 15 and 16, there are then predicted highs of 21C with plenty of sunshine, which will continue into Monday and Tuesday June 17 and 18, where the maximum temperatures are forecast to be 20C, but feel more like 24C.

While the Met Office does not give a forecast this far in advance, its experts have said an "unsettled and showery pattern" will return in the period from May 14 to May 23. And between May 24 and June 7 it anticipates "slightly-above average temperatures", adding it will "naturally feel warm in any sunshine".
