The Real Housewives of Orange County star Braunwyn Windham-Burke has spoken to Digital Spy about how the COVID-19 pandemic "separated" the cast.

RHOC was filming at the same time as lockdown orders were issued throughout California last March, with Shannon Storms Beador even documenting her battle with COVID on camera months later.

Away from filming, Braunwyn's castmate Kelly Dodd has caused significant backlash for her controversial Instagram posts flouting the seriousness of the pandemic, as well as an Instagram Story last week where she wore a 'Drunk Wives Matter' hat.

Speaking exclusively to us, Braunwyn addressed the ideological divide that developed within the cast over the pandemic.

"I have a lot of thoughts on [Kelly]," she told us. "I'm saving most of them for the reunion, but Kelly and I are diametrically opposed right now with our ideology. I think everyone knows that.

"I have to say that the pandemic separated us, physically, but I didn't know how much it was going to drive us apart. It's been very hard to keep my mouth shut. Part of the thing you do when you're on this show is you let the story play out for the viewers.

"I'm keeping my opinions to myself for now, but watch the reunion. Because yeah, I have a lot of thoughts."

Braunwyn also revealed to us that she is currently on the outs with the entire Real Housewives of Orange County cast since filming has now finished.

"Right now, I'm not speaking to any of my cast. And, you get to see how that all happens. 2020 is the most transformative year of my life," she explained. "I let the cameras into some really real, raw moments. You come on a journey for me that I think is going to help a lot of people. I know it is.

"When you start changing sometimes, not everyone is comfortable with [it]. You go through a big period of growth, and it made a lot of the women uncomfortable. And that's okay.

"I'm very happy with where I'm at right now. You don't have to support me, but get out of my way."
