EXCLUSIVE: The Jump’s James Argent Is Already Injured Says Lydia Bright

Training for the new series of The Jump has only just started this week and we already have our first casualty: James ‘Arg’ Argent.

The TOWIE star’s girlfriend Lydia Bright revealed he’s got a “golfball”-sized injury on his knee after early practices on the slopes.

“Arg is already injured. I don’t think it’s very bad. It’s nothing that extreme but he’s got a massive golfball on his knee,” Lydia told Yahoo Celebrity at the National Television Awards on Wednesday.

It seems Arg, 28, underestimated just how difficult the ski-jumping show would be as he jetted off to Austria to begin training.

Lydia added, “I’m hoping he’s a little bit more cautious. I think he went into it like, ‘I’ll be fine’, but now he’s realised how hard it is.

“Hopefully now he’ll have bubble wrapped himself under his kit, because I want him to come back a whole person!”

Joining Arg on the new series of The Jump are EastEnders’ Sid Owen, Made in Chelsea’s Mark-Francis Vandelli, Olympians Beth Tweddle, Rebecca Adlington and Linford Christie, Brian McFadden and more.

The new series begins on Channel 4 later this month and will air weekly this year, as opposed to being stripped over the course of a week in previous years.
