Explore 17 glorious gardens when Bonchurch Open Gardens  returns for 2024.

The popular event is back for 2024 and takes place over the weekend of Saturday, July 6, and Sunday, July 7, from 1pm to 5pm on both days.

Discover the enchanting gardens that once captivated literary giants and nature enthusiasts alike.

Visitors can wander through 17 private gardens, each revealing its own distinct character, from inventive planting to unique design.

Look out for historic connections, as Bonchurch has long been favoured by famous Island residents and visitors, including Swinburne, Dickens, Thackeray, Tennyson, Keats, and even Gandhi.

Immerse yourself in the same landscapes that inspired these literary greats.

Unusual and exotic plants thrive against the backdrop of period architecture and stunning landscapes, in this hotspot of a village.

Garden enthusiasts can purchase plants along the way, and enjoy an old-fashioned strawberry cream tea on Spring Vale lawn.

Tickets, priced at £5, grant access to all participating gardens for both days.

A detailed map and a free shuttle bus are included in the ticket price.

Purchase tickets at the Village Pond Gate or the Cream Tea Garden on Village Road (look for the large yellow banner).

A portion of ticket sales will support local charities.
