‘All eyes are on the opposition’ in the second phase of India's election

India's six-week election juggernaut resumed Friday with millions of people lining up outside polling stations in parts of the country hit by a scorching heatwave. “All eyes are on the opposition,” says FRANCE 24 correspondent Pavni Mittal, reporting from Nolda in the southern state of Uttar Pradesh. Many of the seats going in for election today are in southern India, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party is not in government on a state level and where star opposition campaigner Rahul Gandhi is contesting.
