This is the face of the man who killed Christopher King in an unprovoked attack in a Hull park.

Lance Kinsley brutally attacked Mr King, who was walking with his son, and faces a lengthy prison sentence after being convicted of manslaughter.

Christopher King died in hospital two weeks after the "aggressive" troublemaker attacked both him and his son, in "completely unwarranted and unprovoked" beatings. Kinsley used clenched fists and had "an angry mean stare" when he punched 53-year-old Mr King in the park off Vane Street.

The victim fell heavily to the ground and suffered serious injuries, Hull Crown Court heard. Kinsley, 22, of Spring Bank, Hull, denied murdering Mr King, who died on June 26 last year following an incident on June 12 of that year, and he was cleared by a jury after a trial. He was convicted of manslaughter.

Kinsley had earlier admitted manslaughter but the prosecution did not accept his plea to that lesser charge.

He was wearing a dark suit, white shirt and dark tie and he showed no emotion as the verdicts were announced. The jury returned to court at 2.05pm on Thursday after first retiring to consider its verdict at about 11.30am on Wednesday.

Sentence was adjourned for a report to assess Kinsley's dangerousness and he was further remanded in custody until September 24. As he left the secure dock to be taken down to the cells, there were shouts of "Love you" from the public gallery. Kinsley briefly looked towards them and softly said: "Love you."
