‘Fall Of The House Of Usher’ Steals Top Spot On Nielsen Streaming Charts From ‘Suits’

The Fall of the House of…Suits?

The USA Network legal drama was toppled by Mike Flanagan’s latest offering The Fall of the House of Usher on Nielsen’s streaming charts for the week of October 9 to 15. After debuting on October 12, the miniseries drew 1.23B minutes viewed, which was just enough to shoot past Suits for the top spot.

During this time, The Fall of the House of Usher came in second place on Netflix’s TV charts with 6M views, according to the streamer. The next week it soared to No. 1, meaning that another week atop the Nielsen charts is likely.

Make no mistake, Suits is still a force to be reckoned with. The series tallied another 1.13B minutes viewed across Netflix and Peacock during this interval, which is quite the feat considering the series has been posting 1B-minute weeks since June.

According to Nielsen, Season 9 of Suits, which is only available on Peacock, drew 6% of the series’ overall viewing during this interval. That’s the highest weekly share of viewing for Season 9 since the first eight seasons dropped on Netflix. This is in line with how viewership for the series has slowed down marginally, indicating that audiences are reaching the end of their Suits binge.

But, with Season 9 still only representing 6% of viewership, it looks like there are more successful weeks on the horizon for Suits.

After seeing a resurgence the week prior, Grey’s Anatomy fell below 1B minutes viewed again, tallying 872M. That was still enough to get it to third place on the overall charts.

Lupin also found itself on the overall chart this week after Part 3 debuted on October 5. During the new season’s first full week on Netflix, the series totaled 635M minutes of viewing.

On the streaming originals list, Loki was bolstered by a new episode for Season 2. The series managed 588M viewing minutes, up by about a third vs. the week before and capturing No. 4 on the list.
