A family fun carnival is coming to Kidbrooke this weekend featuring street food, carnival processions and live music.

To mark the 20th anniversary of TARU Arts, Kidbrooke will be hosting its very own carnival this Saturday (July 6) in Cator Park and Pegler Square.

The event, running in the afternoon from 2pm until 6pm, will feature a range of family fun activities from arts and crafts to live performances and an array of street food vendors.

The event will begin with a community parade featuring carnival performances, starting from Wingfield School, through Cator Park North, Pegler Square and finishing back in Cator Park.

In Pegler Square, children can let off any burnt energy at a bouncy castle.

Anyone looking to try out a new skill can take part in a Capoeira class, an Afro-Brazilian martial art combining dance, acrobatics and music.

There will also be a variety of music and craft workshops along with food and drink hosted by Artfix on the day.
