Loved ones of a 26-year-old man from Cardiff who has been missing for almost a week have made an emotional plea for him to come home, saying “we love you and want to help you”. Connor Walker-Smith, from the Canton area of the city, was last seen in Pembroke Road at around 2am on Wednesday, April 17.

He disappeared without his phone, his house key and his wallet. In the days following his disappearance, Connor’s partner Shannon Evans told WalesOnline he had recently been struggling with his mental health and struggled to access help. She said: "He is the love of my life and I have loved him since the moment I set eyes on him when we were 15. I want to do everything to help him. I just want him to know he is not in any trouble and nobody is going to judge him. We know he’s not a bad person and he is just suffering. We are going to get him the help he needs. His mum has said she will pay for private counselling for him so he won’t have to face waiting lists.”

Shannon described Connor as being around 6ft 3ins or 6ft 4ins tall, with brown shortish “choppy” hair. She said he is of slim build with broad shoulders and he has a single nose piercing. At the time of his disappearance Shannon believes he was wearing a black hoodie with the words “a constant work in progress” written on its front in white. Posters of Connor have been put up on windows in the Canton area asking for information. On one, Shannon has written: "Come home, we love you and want to help you. Call 999 or Shan on 07340300773.”

On Monday, April 22, South Police has renewed its appeal for information regarding Connor’s whereabouts, saying that efforts to find him are continuing.
