Justin Bieber could be questioned by Spanish police over an alleged assault after a fan, who has claimed he was punched by the star last night, was given the go ahead to press charges by local law enforcement.

The week seemed to get off to a good start for the 22-year-old singer as he enjoyed a kick around with FC Barcelona players ahead of his concert in the Spanish city.

But then yesterday, as he arrived at the Palau Sant Jorda venue, he was caught on camera seemingly striking an unnamed fan through the open window of his car and the young man has been advised by the regional police of Cataluna, the Mossos d’Esquadra, that he could take action over the incident.

However, the fan – who lives in the Spanish city of Mataró and whose initials are K.R.- told radio station Los 40 principales that he is yet to decide what he’ll do.

He admitted he was “upset” by the punch and visited hospital after the altercation, where he received an official report on his injuries which included a bloodied lip.

Justin, whose ‘What Do you Mean?’, ‘Sorry’ and ‘Love Yourself’ were all global chart-toppers last year, is yet to comment.
