A Los Angeles judge ruled to terminate Britney Spears’s conservatorship during a hearing on Friday, November 12, capping a legal saga that dragged on for more than 13 years.
Judge Brenda J Penny returned the pop star’s legal rights, ending the conservatorship that supervised Spears and her estate since 2008, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Spears’s attorney, Mathew Rosengart, said in a press conference that the case is being used to address corrupt conservatorships across the nation, local media reported.
