Fans have praised Stacey Solomon for 'wiping the floor' with Denise Welch during a heated debate on Loose Women. The influencer made a return to the ITV show on Monday.

After taking a break from joining the panel, mum-of-five Stacey didn't hold back on her opinions of the latest topics of discussion on the chat show. The 35-year-old TV personality clashed with co-star Denise Welch twice.

The pair first disagreed over Melania Trump's decision to stay with Donald Trump, after his guilty verdict for falsifying records, and then over the concept of working from home, reports OK! Magazine.

It was the topic of Britain's Got Talent winner Sydnie Christmas which first reportedly sparked the debate on air, as to whether personality is as important as talent in such competitions.

As the conversation moved on to former model Melania's loyalty to her husband post-verdict, Stacey delighted the audience with her passionate outburst. "Why is the focus on his wife?" she said. "It should be about him and his disgraceful acts."

Later on in the show, focus turned to discuss stay-at-home husbands and remote working. Stacey argued flexible working has been a brilliant tool for many families, especially those with children, however Denise wasn't in agreement.

The Waterloo Road actress lamented the lack of available staff in businesses, suggesting "This country is collapsing" because everyone is working from home.

Stacey hit back, questioning if her colleague seriously believed that remote working was a main cause of staffing issues, rather than looking at the likes of nurses on zero-hour contracts.

"So it has nothing to do with the fact that a nurse is grafting hard on a zero hours contract, struggling to pay childcare? No wonder people aren't signing up to do these jobs, they just aren't paid enough to do them," Stacey stated.

Following the tense debate, viewers took to social media to voice their support of Stacey. One person wrote on Twitter: "I don't usually watch #loosewomen but today I am, I totally agree with Stacey Solomon." Another chimed in with: "@StaceySolomon talking sense on #LooseWomen #workingfromhome."

A third shared their support: "Stacey absolutely wiping the floor with Densy [clapping hand emojis] #LooseWomen,". And a fourth lamented Stacey's TV break: "What a shame Stacey is stepping back from TV, she's the only redeeming feature of #LooseWomen."

Stacey herself recently said her goal was to be a stay-at-home mum, taking care of her five children, including the three young ones she shares with husband Joe Swash. Speaking to beauty mogul Caroline Hirons on her Glad We Had This Chat podcast.

She said: "Every year I have a team meeting with my agent and everyone on the team to say, 'What's your plan? What's your goal?' And this year when they asked me my five-year goal, I was like, I want to be a stay-at-home mum. That is my dream, it's my ultimate dream. I just want to be with my kids."
