Chocolate fanatics have cause for celebration as Home Bargains has brought back Milky Way Crispy Rolls to its stores.

The popular sweet treat, consisting of a whipped Milky Way cream centre, crispy wafer and coated in milk chocolate, vanished from shops in 2022, causing dismay among its many enthusiasts. After Mars Wrigley UK stopped producing the bar, fans were so passionate about its loss, some started a petition.

Despite the public outrage, a comeback seemed doubtful at the time. Mars Wrigley UK expressed gratitude for the customer loyalty but chances of its return were slim.

A statement at the time read: "While Milky Way Crispy Rolls are currently in a galaxy far, far away we're pleased to offer many delicious alternatives such as Milky Way Magic Stars, Maltesers, Mars and, of course, the traditional Milky Way. The love for Milky Way Crispy Rolls has been out of this world and we've certainly taken note."

But, chocolate lovers have been delighted to see the bars reappear on shelves. A customer named Ash Talsma posted a snapshot to the eagerly-followed Facebook page, Home Bargains Appreciation Society.

They uploaded a picture of shelves lined with boxes of the chocolate treat product. In the caption, they said: "Guess who's back. Back again. Milky Way is back. Tell a friend."

The post swiftly garnered a lot of attention. Most people in the comments tagged their mates to spread the word and even cheekily nudge them to make a purchase, reports Wales Online.

Elizabeth implored her friend: "REMIND ME!!!!!" Ragen instructed her pal: "Get me these." Gemma announced: "Home Bargains trip needed."

Shannon just exclaimed: "Omg." Tasha declared: "I need some." Ashlea contributed: "99p as well."
