Set in Minnesota, North Dakota in 2019, Fargo season 5 once again blends black comedy with gripping drama as its characters get drawn into the seedy underbelly of a seemingly respectable town.

It’ll introduce us to Dotty, an unassuming mother and housewife who is suddenly forced to face up to her shady past when it unexpectedly comes back to haunt her.

On her tail is Roy Tillman, a local sherrif who believes so wholeheartedly in the law that he’s convinced himself he's actually above it.

Roy has been searching for Dotty for a while and as his quest nears its end, things take some surprise turns when this family-focused fugitive is suddenly backed into a corner.

As Roy and Dotty's game of cat-and-mouse progresses, we meet a range of characters including Dotty’s husband and disapproving mother-in-law and Sheriff Tillman’s lackeys and son, the latter of whom is tired of living in his father’s imposing and overbearing shadow.
