Fearne Cotton And Martin Kemp To Host BBC Radio 2 Summer Show

Fearne Cotton and Martin Kemp will be hosting a new live show on BBC Radio 2 this summer.

Fearne, who presented the mid-morning show on Radio 1 until May 2015, and Martin will be on our airwaves while Graham Norton takes his summer break, hosting their show from Saturday July 9 until Saturday September 10.

Listeners are said to get ready for a ‘lively show of banter, good music and top guests’, with a look back at the week’s ‘more offbeat’ news stories and two celebrity guests each week.

There will also be a ‘Meet Their Hero’ feature during the interactive show, with viewers given the opportunity to ask their idol a question live on air via the phone.

Not only that, but there’ll be an occasional treat in the form of a live acoustic performance, and a classic vintage album of the week every week, with the hosts playing three tracks of their choosing from that album.

Speaking about the new show, Fearne said: “I can’t wait to get back on the radio, so to be presenting on Radio 2 this summer on Saturday mornings with Martin Kemp is going to be absolutely brilliant.”

Martin added: “Radio 2, Fearne Cotton, every Saturday through the summer! When they asked me to work with Radio 2 I never expected this!
