Fearne Cotton shares a list of promises to herself as she turns 39

Fearne Cotton shared an inspiring message on Instagram to commemorate her 39th birthday. Though still young, the TV and radio star's post is a perfect lesson on ageing.

It was filled with all of her intentions for growth and happiness as she continues to mature, things she doesn't want to lose about herself, and ways she wants to improve.

Accompanying an early morning snap with bed head and a massive cup of tea the star wrote:

"This is 39.
Last nights make up on
Hair breaking free
The only one up in the house
I probably won’t change but I’m always expanding and improving."

Fearne then went on to share a list of promises to herself, of all the things about herself she will hold on to and all the things she's working on being better at.

-I won’t let anyone dim my light
-I will keep dying my hair pink
-I will dress as I always have
-I will keep loving with my whole heart
-I’ll send over the top texts to people I adore
-I’ll keep letting go and learning
-I’ll say ‘I love you’ ‘I’m sorry’ ‘thank you’ ‘F**k it’
-I’ll keep trying
-I’ll keep trying to not try so hard
-I’ll keep being me

We all tend to think a lot about all the things we want to become as we get older. We think it's a really great approach to like Fearne, think of all the things we want to hold on to.

We will be doing this every birthday from now on.
