'I fell in love with Shein dress - but when it arrived it was see-through'

A woman was left unsure whether to laugh or cry after the perfect dress she ordered didn't look quite as good as she'd hoped. In a hilarious video, the red-faced shopper revealed that the Shein outfit left her looking extremely overexposed.

Kaitlyn Moore, who goes by @sassandcellulite on TikTok, had been browsing for some new clothes when she spotted a model wearing strappy black slip dress with a sheer polka dot layer on top. The look was completed with a black belt, cinching in at the waist.

Immediately transfixed by the stunning look, Kaitlyn bought the dress in her size and waited excitedly for the stylish outfit to arrive. But, as can often be the case with online shopping, once she got the opportunity to try it on, she realised her blunder, The Mirror reports.

Embarrassed Kaitlyn decided to share her fashion faux pas on TikTok, highlighting the difference between the picture on the website and what the product actually looked like.

In her excitement for the outfit, she had unfortunately misunderstood what she had ordered. What she thought was a full outfit shown online, was indeed just the sheer outer layer without the black slip or belt.

Displaying in a bikini under the nearly invisible fabric, Kaitlyn titled her post: "Shein strikes again." In the comments, she added: "I thought it came with the little underslip but apparently not!"

While some TikTok users were sympathetic, with many people making similar online shopping blunders, others put the blame fully at her door.

One said: "I mean it's literally the same, you just need the slip dress and the belt." Another commenter added: "It looks like you got what you ordered."

A third agreed, but also offered Kaitlyn a compliment on the look. They said: "You did get what you ordered. It looks how I would have expected it to look on you.

"Actually, I think it's nice on you. Personally, it wouldn't have been a colour I would have chosen myself but I think it looks nice on you."

Others thought the Shein image appeared misleading. One TikTok user said: "I too would think it'd come with a belt and the black dress underneath, to be fair." Another added: "I definitely would have thought at least the slip was included."
