A daring female diver has taken TikTok by storm, ignoring a 'No Women' sign on a waterslide and sparking comparisons to "having an enema".

Rhiannan Iffland, the Australian seven-time world champion in cliff diving, shared her bold move on the platform, quickly amassing over 37million views in under a week.

"Apparently this says women aren't supposed to do this slide," she captioned the viral video. "Went for it anyway. Just once, but did it!"

The footage shows Rhiannan hurtling down the steep slide at Austria's Area 47 adventure park, her screams echoing immediately after launch. TikTok users noted that the sign likely refers to the 'high risk of injury' associated with the slide, which is known as Europe's fastest, reaching speeds up to 80km/h.

A study in the National Library of Medicine highlights the dangers, stating "water under high pressure can produce vaginal injury", presumably the rationale for the cautionary sign.

Instances have been recorded where similar slides have led to infections in women due to contaminants in the water.

One case examined by the study concluded: "Vaginal injury in premenarcheal patients may result from a water slide. The emergency physician must be aware of this potential injury mechanism and the need for complete examination under anesthesia when vaginal bleeding is present."

Rhiannan, who has a whopping 180,000 followers on the social media platform, shared a video that resonated with many who've endured the notorious 'water slide enema'.

One of her followers recounted their ordeal in the comments section, saying: "Unfortunately I got a water slide enema," and elaborated with a grim detail: "Peed out half the swimming pool in the toilet from my butt. I literally couldn't stand upright after it happened. Weirdest thing I've ever experienced."

Another was equally taken aback, adding: "OMG I had no idea it had a name. Water slide enema. Perfectly describes what happened to me."

A third commenter declared a change in their leisure activities, writing: "Never going on this type of slide again.. it did me so wrong. went straight to the toilet."

While a fourth expressed alarm at the prevalence of the issue as they said: "The amount of people who got a water slide enema is scary. I've never even heard of that before. Well I just need one reason so thanks no more water slides for me."
