Ferry Towed After Running Aground in Dense Fog Near East Cowes

A search and rescue operation was launched on the morning of October 21 after a Red Funnel ferry collided with at least two yachts while trying to berth at the entrance of Cowes Harbour in East Cowes, England, officials said.

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency later said the 56 people on board were safe. The incident occurred in dense fog, the agency said, and an investigation was underway into the cause of the collision.
