Bicep have been revealed as the first headliners of Field Day as the festival confirms its return for 2020.

The electronic duo will top the bill with a live set at the one-day event — reduced from two days in 2019 — which will take place in north London’s the Drumsheds on Saturday July 11.

It will be Bicep’s only London festival performance of the summer, as Field Day looks to expand its electronic music offering to “celebrate the full spectrum with both live and DJ performances”.

Field Day will also retain its place as the capital’s latest-running major festival, with the main stage playing music until 3am.

Further acts will be revealed soon, with the line-up set to be spread across three stages.

Bicep — comprised of Northern Irish duo Andrew Ferguson and Matthew McBriar — have grown to be one of the biggest acts in the world of electronic music in the past couple of years, selling out multiple shows at both O2 Academy Brixton and Printworks in Canada Water.

Announcing their set, Bicep said: “Having debuted our live show back at Field Day 2016, we’re over the moon to be back headlining the 2020 edition of the festival at The Drumsheds next July.”

Field Day will return for its 14th edition in 2020, having previously been held in Victoria Park and Brockwell Park. Last year, the festival was headlined by Skepta and Jorja Smith.
