Fight between two men ends abruptly as one is hit by car while fleeing police in Bromley

A fight in a shop between two men came to an abrupt end when one of the men fled from police before being hit by a car. Police rushed to Baring Road, Bromley, at around 9.35pm last night to reports of a fight.

As police made their arrival at the scene one of the two men tried to make a run for it but he was then involved in a collision with a car. He was taken to hospital where his injuries were deemed not to be life-threatening or life-changing. No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 9.34pm on Monday, June 17, to reports of a fight between two men at a shop in Baring Road, SE12. As one of the men ran away, he was involved in a collision with a car.

“Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and a crime scene was put in place. The man was taken to a south London hospital where his injuries were deemed not to be life-threatening or life-changing.

“No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue.”
