Here’s the final weather forecast for Glastonbury Festival 2024

Glastonbury Festival is officially open for business for 2024, and the weather is looking up for this weekend’s festival.

Festival boss Emily Eavis opened the gates for the Worthy Farm festival at 8am this morning (June 26), with Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA set to headline the Pyramid Stage.

While an earlier forecast promised mixed fortunes, later reports suggested a welcome lack of rain in Pilton, Somerset. According to BBC Weather, here’s the latest forecast as the festival begins.

Thursday June 27th: Light rain showers and a moderate breeze. Highs of 19°C, lows of 11°C
Friday June 28th: Sunny intervals and a modest breeze. Highs of 17°C, lows of 9°C
Saturday June 29th: Sunny intervals and a gentle breeze. Highs of 19°C, lows of 12°C
Sunday June 30th: Light rain and a gentle breeze. Highs of 18°C, lows of 10°C

Earlier this month, Glastonbury also announced its full 2024 line-up and details of stage times. Over recent weeks, the festival have been sharing stage-by-stage announcements, including the news that the festival’s towering Arcadia spider will be replaced by a giant dragonfly, that the Genosys stage will return to Block9 and the end of The Rabbit Hole after 17 years at the festival, replaced by new venues The Wishing Well and Scissors in The Park.

Elsewhere, festival organiser Emily Eavis has revealed that the festival is planning to take a fallow year in 2026.

This year’s festival will also see headline Pyramid Stage sets streamed globally for the first time ever.

Fans worldwide will be able to watch Coldplay and Dua Lipa headline the Pyramid Stage worldwide on the BBC’s website, on Saturday and Friday nights respectively.
